Astyria Corporation, colloquially shortened to AstCorp, is a multinational Astyrian company based in Kirkland, State of Astyria, ViZion. It acts as a holding company for many of the region's major businesses and is one of the largest such entities in the world. Its major interests include telecommunications and airlines.
Formed from a merger of many of Astyria's best-known brands such as Armaj Heavy Industries, AstCorp met with only limited initial success and a lukewarm reception despite its bid to become an international economic giant. It was repeatedly troubled by questions of portfolio management, especially of its substantial but loss-making telecoms holdings.
Though troubled, the company manages to keep its tread water in the market, and constantly shuffling its troubled assets around.
History
Astyria Corporation was founded in 2014 by a group of prominent Astyrian businessmen and politicians, who envisioned a conglomerate that would leverage the region’s economic potential and compete globally. The company acquired several leading Astyrian firms in various sectors, such as Armaj Heavy Industries, a manufacturer of aerospace and defense products; Astel, a wireless and broadband provider; AstAir, a regional airline; and AstBank, a financial institution.
The company’s initial public offering (IPO) in 2015 was met with high expectations from investors and analysts, who saw Astyria Corporation as a symbol of Astyria’s rising influence and prosperity. However, the company soon faced challenges in integrating its diverse businesses and managing its debt load. The company also struggled to cope with the changing market conditions and customer preferences, especially in the telecoms sector, where it faced stiff competition from other players and regulatory hurdles.

- Colourette Clothing Company: A ViZionian domestic company that produces high-end fashion apparel and accessories. Colourette is the choice for the rich and famous across the nation. Astyria Corporation owns 100% of the company.
- Imperial Bank of Symphonia: A large bank that operates in Symphonia and other countries. It has hundreds of years of history and serves over one billion people. Astyria Corporation owns 100% of the bank.
- Kotoros Rent-A-Car: A car rental service that was founded in Nouvel Ecosse by Kotoros Motors, a defunct car manufacturer. It has nearly 50 years of experience and oversees hundreds of outlets. Astyria Corporation owns 100% of the service.
- Limburg Automotive: A car manufacturer that was founded in 1952 in ViZion. It produces luxury vehicles that are starting to open up on the global market. Astyria Corporation owns 100% of the manufacturer.
- Loyal Me: A loyalty program that was founded by Samia Shapiro in 1997 under the Servhero Group in Woodstead. It offers thousands of great discounts and deals to its members. Astyria Corporation owns 50% of the program.
- Mastery Construction & Engineering: A construction and engineering company that was originally formed in ViZion. It is one of the nation’s and world’s leading construction companies, with projects ranging from skyscrapers to bridges. Astyria Corporation owns 100% of the company.
- Multivision Media Communications: One of the world’s largest pay-TV, broadband, and cellular providers. It operates in over 50 countries and has over 200 million subscribers. Astyria Corporation owns 100% of the provider.
- Next Ingenious Notion: A technology company that was established in 1982 in ViZion. It is also known as NIN, and has since absorbed Mahzer and Holdjet, two other tech companies. It produces innovative products and services in various fields, such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and nanotechnology. Astyria Corporation owns 100% of the company.
- Ocline Airplanes: An airplane manufacturer that is based in ViZion. It is a veteran institution that has been producing aircraft for over a century. It is currently under the turn-around by Euralonian, Annabeth Scrivens, who is trying to revive the company’s fortunes. Astyria Corporation owns 100% of the manufacturer.
- Oxygen Eateries: A chain of restaurants that was founded in 1988 in Woodstead. It serves healthy and organic food to its customers. It has thousands of chains in Nouvel Ecosse and other regions. Astyria Corporation owns 60% of the chain.
- Pratt & Ronn Oil: An oil company that is based in ViZion. It has found a trade in recovering billions of barrels of oil from previously inaccessible or depleted sources, using advanced technology and methods. It has partners and clients across the world. - SMC Automotive: A car manufacturer that is based in Astyro-Jungastia. It is also known as Societé de Moteurs Constructeurs, and produces small city cars that appeal to an eco-friendly market. Astyria Corporation owns 50% of the manufacturer.
- Stalingrad Soda Corporation: A soda company that was founded by JoJo McCartney in Joesavi 65 years ago. It produces various flavors and brands of soft drinks for the global market. It has been primarily managed in ViZion since its acquisition by Astyria Corporation, which owns 100% of the company.
- The Astyrian Network: A media network that is a joint exercise for Astyrian journalism. It provides 24 hour coverage of news, sports, entertainment, and culture all over the multi-continental region. Astyria Corporation owns 100% of the network.
