The Socialist Republic of Dau Sel is divided into 14 separate cúigí, or provinces, largely based on historic, cultural, or linguistic borders. The most populous province is Croílár with almost 5 million inhabitants. The least populous is Heimströnd with less than 200 thousand inhabitants. Each province is allotted a seat in the Teach Cúige (Provincial House) for every 100,000 residents, rounding up. Much like the elections for the House of Representatives, Provincial House seats are determined via approval score voting. Unlike elections in the House of Representatives, parties do not run. Each voter votes for a specific representative rather than for a party, however, these representatives may be part of a party.
