The Easun Industria J57 Ajutánt (Carlosian: adjutant) is a tilt-jet light gunship and reconnaissance aircraft in limited service with the Carlosian Army. It was designed as a much cheaper, nimbler complement to the J52 Arcángel
Development
Design
General configuration
The tail section can be folded inwards for compact storage.
Armament
The J57 Ajutánt is armed with dual two-barrelled 20 mm autocannons. Each gun weighs 71 kg, with capacity for five-hundred 20 mm rounds each. Each high-explosive incendiary (HEI) round weighs approximately 100 grammes. The autocannons can switch between automatic; in which case it has a maximum rate of fire of 750 rounds per minute, semi-automatic and burst-fire modes.
On the underside of the aircraft are two internal weapons bays. Each bay has room for four S854 Acechar multi-purpose missiles for a total of eight.
