Vrihte was the chief editor for The Yndyk Times from 1994 until 2007 before entering provincial politics and winning a seat in the Legislative Assembly of Hamptonshire in 2007. She also became the official spokesperson for the Civic Initiative party in the same year. Vrihte became the party's candidate for Premier in 2010 and subsequently led the unity coalition comprised of social democrats, liberals and sotirian democrats.
