The House of Heligsburg is a cadet house of the Ottonian royal House of Sproek-Kristhulm. The house was formally created in October of 1967 alongside the House of Trynt, following the birth of the future Rodrik I to then-Crown Princess Adelhaed of Ottonia, formalizing the split of the royal house into a primary branch and two cadet branches. The house is currently tied to the Principality of Onneria, a semi-autonomous territory within South Ottonia based on the pre-Unification Kingdom of Onneria, with the head of the house holding the title of Prince/Princess of Onneria. This role also comes with an executive role in the provincial government of Onneria, which includes the single largest metropolitan area in Ottonia.
