The House of Romm is an Ottonian ducal house, whose seat is the city of Meuse in the eastern part of the Staalmark region. The family is well-connected, both personally, politically, and economically. The Romm family is unusual within the Ottonian cultural zone for following male-preference primogeniture instead of absolute primogeniture.

Although prior to Unification, the Romms were highly-placed in the court of Staalmark and Onneria alike, since the unification the family has maintained a substantial business empire via their 40% ownership stake in Peninsular Holdings.

Members

The current head of the family is Madalyn, Duchess of Meuse; she has three children, two daughters and a son. Despite her son being the youngest of the three, he is first in line to succeed the Duchess due to the Romm family being one of the few Ottonian aristocratic houses that retains male-preference primogeniture succession in regards to the family's titles. It is worth note that Izaak's elder sisters both married into cadet branches of the South Ottonian royal House of Sproek-Kristhulm.
