The Chorofylaki is the gendarmerie and military police of Romaia. The corps was instituted in 1770 by TBD with the aim of providing the [[Duchy of Constantinoupoli]] with a police corps; it is therefore older than Romaia itself. The new force was divided into divisions on the scale of one division for each province of Romaia. In recent years Chorofylaki became the sixth branch of Romaian Armed Forces.
