Zhang Gan-yu Taoyuanese: 張乾宇; English: Elizabeth Zhang (15 October 1922) is a retired Taoyuanese officer who fought during the Second Europan War and later, in the War of Lorican Aggression.

Born in Rubrum, Zhang is the daughter of Taoyuanese immigrants who migrated to Amerigonna. Her parents settled in Rubrum, where she grew up in Vancouver. Despite facing a few racial prejudices, she successfully often topped exams and was given numerous recognitions. She finished Chemical Engineering by the time when EWII was taking a turn against the Imperials.

She was drawn to enlist in the army after learning that her elder brother had been killed while in combat in 1941. Zhang chose to enlist in the Lucian-trained Free Quenminese Army, where most of the Taoyuanese were assigned to. Her choice reflected on the fact that she wanted to help her people liberate their country from the Quenminese. Here, she would meet her future spouse, Xu Cheng. She would learn Taoyuanese from Cheng during their time in Manchester. Her skills in engineering were easily recognised by an SOE officer, who recommended her to be assigned to the SOE. She accepted the offer and found herself serving alongside Xu and other Taoyuanese personnel. In the autumn of 1942, Zhang and Xu were assigned to Crown Company.

Zhang is known for her wits and calculating nature in the field, hence Xu often goes to her for advice on when to attack. Coupled with Zhang's nature, the Taoyuanese contingent under Xu Cheng in Crown Company became highly recognised, and receiving the most awards in the company for valour. Following the war, Zhang and Xu were married and they returned to their native Taoyuan following the Taoyuanese Civil War. Zhang was given an honourable discharge in 1955 in order to focus on raising their 3 children.

Zhang is the grandmother of Xu Jinglei, an operative in ILESOC.
