The Privy Council of the Kingdom of Aquitayne is a formal body of advisors to the Sovereign of the Kingdom. Its membership comprises senior politicians who are current or former members of the House of Lords or the House of Commons. The Privy Council also includes some limited senior military officials.
The Privy Council formally advises the sovereign on the exercise of their royal prerogative, military decisions as commander-in-chief, and - as King-in-Council - issues executive orders known as Orders in Council. These Orders, among other things, enact acts passed by Parliament. The Privy Council, when authorized by the sovereign, may act on his or her behalf in delegating Orders of Council in reference to administrative duties.
