The 48th Armoured Division or the Lucian 48th Armoured Division is a division of the Lucis Army that first served during the Second Europan War and was one of the first divisions created during the mass recruitment drive in the 1930s in response to the strong Imperial aggression at that time. Initially designated as an infantry division, it was decided that the division would be included in one the roster of Lucian armoured divisions.

The Division fought in Europa, Africanna, and in Joyonghea, where the division lived up to its moniker of "The Battleaxe Division". It became the first Lucian division ashore on Joyonghea and breached a strongpoint at the Baker section of which none have been able to take. It was only until the deployment of the 48th that the sector was breached. Later, the division spearheaded the advance to the Pusan Perimeter during the 1941 Winter Campaign. It was often at odds with the Quenminese 105th Infantry Division but the 48th had better training and commander in the form of General Albert Crocker. The 48th was also the first division to penetrate into the Joyonghean capital of Yeolcheon during ther liberation of the city in 1944. It was also the principle divisions that spearheaded Operation Needle Stack. In tougher situations, the 48th was often placed into the frey. Joyonghean General Cheon Sang-ji remarked the division as one of the finest and excellent Lucis Commonwealth formations that fought in Joyonghea.

The division continued to serve throughout the War of Lorican Aggression and up to the Neocon War and remains active as one of the divisions that composes of the Lucis Commonwealth Armies in Erebonia.
