The Royal Regina Rifles is an infantry regiment of the Rubrumian Army. Prior to 1980, the regiment was known as The Regina Rifle Regiment. Since the First Europan War, they have been a part of the 3rd Rubrumian Division. Throughout the Rubrumian Army's history, the Regina Rifles have been one of the most awarded formations, seeing numerous actions since 1914. It was also one of the Rubrumian formations to have seen the most number of overseas combat, with its most notorious during its participation as a volunteer regiment during the Estharian Civil War. It is also the only formation within the 3rd Division in the Rubrumian Army to have ever fought all principle Imperial nations, at one point being a part of the 4th Rubrumian Division during the Scandinavian Campaign.
During the Second Europan War, The regiment gained the moniker of "The Johns" due to the high proportions of "Farmer Johns" in its ranks. Ostracised and underestimated by many Imperial forces for its background of having many farmers, students, fur trappers, hunters, and other soldiers of a low class origin, the regiment has seen many successes; spearheading the Rubrumian landings during Operation Springboard and pushing further inland that any other Allied formation, prevailing against an Imperial panzer attack during the Second Battle of Legram, securing the most number of districts during the Liberation of Yeolcheon, and was the first Allied formation to penetrate into Churuongchandat during Operation Spearhead. However, it's finest hour came during Operation Needle Stack, when it denied the Quenminese 105th Infantry Division of the ability to interfere and relieve Imperial forces at Kimchaek against overwhelming odds.
It later saw extensive service during the War of Lorican Aggression and other contemporary conflicts. Today, the Regina's are still a part of the 3rd Rubrumian Division, which forms an integral part of the Lucis Commonwealth Armies in Erebonia as part of the Erebonian and Rubrumian Army Corps.
