Amelia Ricci (born 8th of October 1990) is a Malgravean singer and actor. Amelia first came to national attention as a member of the idol group Eclipse, however, following the decision of the group to enter a period of hiatus they have become noted as an actor starring in shows like Hello, Me?
Early Life
Amelia Ricci was born in Epping on the 8th of October 1990, at this time a majority of Malgrave was experiencing a period of economic stagnation which became known as the start of the Lost Decade. Epping was initially sheltered from the impacts of this economic crisis, however, following the start of the terrorism campaign by the Patriotic Front and New Malgravean Communist Party targeting Epping became deeply involved in the decline.
In 1997 Amelia became involved in an initiative started by the Ancestral Study Group and the Gabriel Narutowicz Pioneers to get more people involved in acting, however, despite a few minor performances in dramas at the time and involvements in advertisements for MalMart and MalTra Amelia began to get more involved in the musical-side of things and eventually joined the trainee vocalist academy at Ascension Musical Productions
Musical Career
While at Ascension Musical Productions Amelia met Rhee Chae-Yeong and Park Eun-Ji for the first time. After spending a few years training at the academy she was convinced to star in the first season of Music Idol Camp. It was at this time that Amelia first came to national attention, as despite being regarded as a fan-favourite of the show she was eliminated from the competition in 26th place. In response to the elimination a number of impassioned fans of the idol stormed the MBC studios in Epping and were only dispersed after MBC agreed to hold an independent audit of the vote under the oversight of a Kouralian and Breheimian firm.
It was this incident that led to her becoming involved in Eclipse, a project spearheaded by Ascension Musical Productions and the government to try and promote Malgravean culture abroad. Amelia was quickly noted for her vocal prowess and ability to garner attention during frequent livechat sessions that Eclipse held with members of the public, however, it was her frank discussions about her own struggles with mental health and the supportive efforts she made to welcome other idols into the music industry such as Yukika Saito that led to her earning the nickname consolatione dryadalis which can either be translated as comfort elf or cuddle elf in Mystrian Common.
After Eclipse entered into a period of hiatus, Amelia started her own individual musical career, her first album titled Fresh Adventure including the popular single Twilight Saga while her second album Morning Travels became noted for the song Weekend which was used as part of a campaign by MalTra to promote more weekend travel.
Acting Career
In 2020 Amelia was seen alongside her former Eclipse star Rhee Chae-Yeong in Ancestral Guest House, with Amelia playing the role of an ex-SIS agent that had worked alongside Chae-Yeong's character.
Later in the same year Amelia appeared in the popular series Hello, Me? in which she faces a younger version of herself played by Park Min-Ji
