He was born during the reign of his grandfather, King Robert IV, and is the oldest child of Arthur, Duke of Oxonia (now King Arthur XI]] and his second wife Caroline Zuria. Alan was named for his great-great-grandfather King Alan V, Brennus for his grandfather King Brennus III, Raimondo for his grandfather Lord Raymond Zuria and Alexander for his great-grandfather Prince Alexander of Ghant. Alan was baptized into Church of Gelonia at Sant Brieu Basilica on 20 May 1990. His godparents are Princess Beatriz (his father's sister); Luthor Lorazaina (Beatriz's husband); [PERSON 1] (relation); and [PERSON 2] (relation).

For the first 5 years of his education, Alan was educated by a series of private tutors rather than attending a primary school. Death of Prince Arthur

On 30 April 2012, King Robert IV died and was succeeded by Alan's father who became King Arthur XI. As second oldest son of the new king, Alan was not expected to inherit the throne and his brother Prince Arthur became heir apparent, and a month later was invested as Duke of Oxonia.

On 22 September 2012, Oxonia police were alerted to a car accident in the Redones district of Oxonia. Alan, along with his brother Arthur and uncle Prince David, were reported as injured in an accident involved a drunk driver and taken to the hospital. Arthur was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital, while Alan was unconscious and suffered a broken leg, a broken arm, and broken ribs. Likewise, David only suffered non-life threatening injuries. An investigation into the accident concluded that a vehicle driven by Alan was struck by a drunk driver who ignored an intersection traffic signal. The driver of the vehicle that hit Alan's died during the accident.

Arthur's funeral and burial were held on 7 October 2012. There were questions leading up to the funeral whether Alan would be well enough to attend. Despite the speculation, Alan was present at the funeral, but was noticeably in a wheelchair, and briefly with crutches, throughout the day's events.
