Mission Noting (5 June 1944) is the prelude to Operation Blunderbuss, the Allied Invasion of Bethausia. Along with Mission Thunder, the nighttime paratroop drop was the precursor to the Allied invasion on the following day, with paratroopers landing behind enemy lines in order to cause havoc and reduce enemy resistance for the main invasion force. Mission Thunder was the designation for the nighttime raids in the Bethausian sector and took place later than Mission Thunder.
