Mission Noting (5 June 1944) is the prelude to Operation Blunderbuss, the Allied Invasion of Bethausia. Along with Mission Thunder, the nighttime paratroop drop was the precursor to the Allied invasion on the following day, with paratroopers landing behind enemy lines in order to cause havoc and reduce enemy resistance for the main invasion force. Mission Noting was the designation for the nighttime commando raids and took place later than Mission Thunder.

General Maung's Detachment was later used for Mission Thunder when it linked-up with the 1st Airborne Division and the 7th Parachute Regiment.
