Alexander II of Creeperopolis (Full name: Alexander II Romero Adolfo Martínez Hernández; b. September 15, 1983) is the reigning Emperor of Creeperopolis and the Creeperans who rose to power following the 2003 Creeperian Coup D'état (with the support of Augusto Cabañeras Gutiérrez, José Guerrero López, and Gabriel Negrín Carpio) which toppled Alfonso VI's totalitarian government.
Alexander Martínez Hernández was born in San Salvador, Creeperopolis as royalty on September 15, 1983. His father was then Grand Prince Alfonso Romero Martínez Escobar, his uncle was then Grand Prince Romero Carlos Martínez Escobar, and his oldest uncle was then Emperor Adolfo V. His mother was Isabela María Hernández Guerrero de Martínez. Alexander Martínez was raised as a Creeperian Catholic.
In 1999, his uncle died, and his father became Emperor as Alfonso VI on October 16. Under Alfonso VI, Creeperopolis became increasingly totalitarian and the Constitution was suspended. Creeperian Secret Police (POSEC) raids on ordinary civilians became more common and military presence in Senvar increased. The era in Creeperopolis from 1999-2003 became known as the October 16 Regime.
In June 2003, the three commanders of the Creeperian Armed Forces, Chief Field Marshal Augusto Cabañeras Gutiérrez (Army), Chief Admiral José Guerrero López (Navy), and Chief General Gabriel Negrín Carpio (Creeperian Air Force), began planning a coup and persuaded then Grand Prince Alexander Martínez Hernández to join their side instead of his father. On June 18, 2003, the Creeperian Armed Forces staged a coup d'état which toppled the October 16 Regime and killed Alfonso VI. Alexander II was proclaimed Emperor on June 18 and would be coronated on September 15, 2003, according to Creeperian monarchal tradition. The Creeperian Initiative and Pope Benedict XVI declared their support for the coup on June 19 giving Alexander II legitimacy to rule.
Alexander II reinstituted the Creeperian Constitution on September 15, 2003, ending four years of martial law. Alexander II continued sending more soldiers to Senvar to fight the Senvarian Liberation Front in the Third Senvarian Insurgency (1934-present) and increased government pro-war propaganda. POSEC was reorganized and mainly focuses their efforts in Senvar and Senvek. There are also allegations that Alexander II and Augusto Cabañeras Gutiérrez are secretly funding the Militarist Nationalist Front (FRENAMI, Sombra Negra), a death squad founded in 1940 during the Creeperian Civil War which targets SLF members and members of the gang Mara Salvatrucha. During Alexander II's reign, authoritarianism, Creeperian nationalism, National Catholicism, and anti-Communism were heavily stressed.
In August 2019 following the 2019 San Salvador Attacks perpetrated by the SLF, Alexander II suspended the Creeperian Constitution and instated martial law.
