Early Life

4th West Phoenicia Civil War (1993-1997)

Emperor Thaddeus Gryphon was the second husband of the late Queen Juno Bush.

He claimed the throne in 1992 after the death of the Queen. His role was to rule until a peaceful transition was conducted for Princess Aphrilis to return home for her coronation as she was the eldest child of Queen Juno and her first husband Duke Claudius Chamberlain.

Thaddeus's father Emperor Niclas Gryphon of the Kingdom of Gryphon convinced his son to continue to rule and that the Kingdom of Gryphon would support his right to the throne. They even sent a battlion of soldiers to assist.

Emperor Thaddeus was able to bribe Most High Reverend Darius Mckay the reigning Pontifex to support his claim to the throne. Which he did and Thaddeus Gryphon was proclaimed king. He accused Princess Aphrilis and her husband of poisoning Queen Juno, who was loved by a huge portion of the population, so much so the West Phoenician government was able to keep Princess Aphrilis out of the country.

Princess Jezebel Bush-Tasman sided with her sister and convinced her husband who was a prince of The Kingdom of New Hobart to support a military intervention. Princess Aphrilis husband was also able to convince his homeland The Widemeadows Isles to support Aphrilis claim to the West Phoenician throne. In exchange they would compensate Widemeadows Isles with yearly gold and silver.

Prince Gai Bush sided with Emperor Thaddeus while Princess Clytemnestra, Princess Mariamne and Prince Jericho remained neutral.

After diplomatic talks broke down the sisters declared war on Thaddeus and the nation was plunged into war. The war lasted for 3 years until the sisters were able to gain the upperhand.

Emperor Thaddeus was forced to flee to his home in the Kingdom of Gryphon when the elder daughters of Queen Juno marched into West Phoenicia with their foreign armies to claim their birthright.
