The Merchant Plague (also known as the Norian Plague, the Liran Plague, the Inoran Plague, The Great Death, and Beo's Mercy) was a series of pandemic outbreaks of the bacteria Yersinia Pestis starting in the 1300s and proving recurrent throughout history.

The disease is thought to have been endemic to Northern Meridiq but spread rapidly following the creation of trade routes between Lira and Nori through Northern Meridiq following the Norian Expeditions. The disease had a devestating result on all three continents populations especially trade centers.

It's initial outbreak led to the disease being attributed to either Norian or Lirans, as well as, the Merchant Class and Sailors who were the first to come down with the disease. Many Merchants suffered harsh oppression for their role in the spread of the plague.

Some historians posit that the Plague might have also appeared earlier in Lira when Beo missionaries spread the faith to Lira, although conclusive evidence has not been found.

Several more major outbreaks occured in the 1600s, and the 1800s, as well as, a dozen minor ones.

The disease is now easily treated by it still appears in less developed nations from time to time.
