The Federation of Sublustria (Nahean: Te fenua 'āmui no Rūputia) often called simply Sublustria is a sovereign island nation comprising the majority of the geographic area of the same name. It is made up of more than 600 islands of which about 232 are permanently inhabited spread across the Sublustrian Sea. The country changed its official name from the Uited Islands of Sublustria into the Federation of Sublustria in 2002.

The Sublustrian islands were formed by volcanic activity some 80 million years ago. The first human settlement arrived in 700 AD to the Makeke archipelago with the rest of Sublustria only being settled between 1000 AD and 1200 AD. Settlers of Sublustria began to develop distinct societies with distinct languages and cultures. First contact with Euclean explorers took place in 1629 which would over time lead to the spread of Euclean influence and diseases. Most Sublustrian societies would be put under colonial control although some small kingdoms survived as indipendent states up until the 20th century through treaties of friendship.

Following the Great War, Gaullican colonial posessions were divided into the Weranian and Estmerish Community of Nations Mandates. The Estmerish Mandate of Sublustria was granted indipendence and formed the United Islands of Sublustria in 1943. Following Weranian decolonisation in the late 1950s, several states were added to the federation through popular referendum. The following decades saw Sublustria grapple with economic decline and the immerging threat of climate chnage.

The Federation of Sublustria has a mixed economy strongly based on tourism, fishing and Template:Agriculture. It is a member of the International Council for Democracy and the Community of Nations where it acts a voice for action against global warming. Highest political authority is vested in the 'Āmuira'a, the country's democratically-elected unicameral legislature.
