Sublustria, officially the Federal Republic of Sublustria, is a Island nation and federation consisting of around 500 islands and atolls, and 6 different states, each with an elected premier and legislature. The first inhabitants came from mainland Coius at any point from 3000 BC to 1000 BC, arriving first in the westernmost chain of islands, Taueta, which are closest geographically to the mainland of Coius. The period of travelling from island to island, known in folklore as Te Haerenga (the Journey), ended in around 1350 AD, when the final voyagers landed on Naua Roa, now a part of Satavia.

Eucleans first arrived in 1487, in Taueta, and it was Gaullicans who first settled the islands later in 1699. Werania settled the eastern islands in 1744. Both Euclean Powers had issues settling permanent settlements due to the warrior-like nature of many of the islanders, particularly in Aterapa, where Werania fought multiple wars to establish their control over the islands. Euclean powers eventually prevailed, mainly due to their technological advancement. Sublustria never saw the same level of immigration to either the Gaullican or Weranian colonies that other colonies saw: Weranian influence in its Sublustrian colony was entered around Siedlerstadt, the largest settlement in Sublustria and current capital, and with some islands having a Weranian resident. A similar situation existed within the Gaullican colonies.

During the Great War, Gaullica attempted to land on Moto Totu (Blood Island) at the Battle of Moto Totu, where they were defeated decisively by the smaller Weranian garrison. Following the failure of the attempted invasion, no serious attempts to seize either colony were made. A few naval skirmishes occurred between the small opposing naval stations that lasted throughout the remainder of the war, most notably the Battle of Kokoru Nui, which saw Werania claim victory, seriously damaging a Gaullican Destroyer. Post-Great War, Werania was granted a CN mandate over the former Gaullican colony, and in 1949, the colony gained independence as a federal parliamentary elective monarchy, with the High Chief of the islands circulating between the respective island chains every five years. In 1961, the military launched a bloodless coup and installed a military dictatorship on the islands, led by Taika Parata. Following Parata's death in 1999, the military dictatorship began to fall apart and in 2003, a popular revolution removed the dictatorship. Since 2003, the country has been an effective one-party state; with the nominally socialist Manapori Tuatahi ruling the country. Many generals involved in the running of the military government were executed; along with many accused of being "traitors" and "enemies of the state". In the following purge, an estimated 20,000 "collaborators" were killed or arrested, with many more disappearing.

Sublustria is a member of the Community of Nations and also the Sublustrian Sea Council.
