Darovskiya is the capital and most populous city of Prokhogorsk.
Situated on the Ilvev River, Darovskiya is a major economic and cultural centre of Prokhogorsk and the continental Zarov region. The city is located within the Darovka province, centered on the confluence of the Koropa River from the north and Ilvev River flowing from southeast to west.
The city was founded by Biveny Mylorod, naming it Mylorodov. The city was renamed to Darovskiya during the Darov Republic, where it served as a territorial and agricultural capital, expanding along the fertile riverbanks of the Ilvev over several decades. The capital and seat of imperial power was established at Karlivorod after its conquest at the beginning of the Prokho Empire, but was positioned back to Darovskiya in 1591 after threat of Kimenan invaders. The city was held siege by various nomadic armies during the 15th century, leading to the construction of the Leonic Walls and various riverside defenses.
Darovskiya is the seat of power of the Government of Prokhogorsk and national unicameral parliament of the Federal Conclave, situated in the Duzni Citadel. The monarch of Prokhogorsk also resides in Darovskiya, in the Karliv Estate.
Darovskiya is the centre for Prokho culture and history, with many historical landmarks and monuments in the city serving as popular tourist landmarks.
Districts
The metropolitan area of Darovskiya is divided into 22 districts which are each governed by their own respective councils. The innermost 7 districts constitute the Darovskiya city limits, while all other districts are designated as being part of the metropolitan perimeter. Darovskiya includes the confluence of the Koropa River tributary with the Ilvev River, which forms as the border between several districts.
