Hu Wenjuan (Xiaodongese: 胡温倦; born 13th August 1965, aged 50) is a Xiaodongese politician who was been the Leader of the Official Opposition and President of the People's Party from 2014-2017. She previously served as the Mayoress of Baiqiao between 2006-11 and since 2011 has represented the electoral district of Rongzhuo West. She was the first female mayor in Xiaodong and the first member of an opposition party to win a mayoralty. She is commonly understood to be on the soft left, social democratic wing of her party. In 2017 she was imprisoned on charges of sedition.

Hu was born in 1965 in Rongzhuo. An active opponent of the single party rule of the Xiaodong Regeneration Society she was imprisoned at the age of 19 before being pardoned in 1987 during the Xiandaihua program, enabling her to study aboard in Phikam. She returned to Xiaodong during the 1990 elections joining the People's Party whilst pursuing a career as a chemical engineer, focusing on engineering until 2006 when she was picked as the People's Party candidate for the mayoralty of Baiqiao. Running a centre-left campaign focussed on affordable public services Hu won the mayoralty in an election.

Whilst serving as Mayoress of Baiqiao Hu implemented a congestion charge despite opposition, clean air laws, privatisation to several large ports, anti-discriminatory laws, contactless smart card electronic ticketing for public transport and an expansion to the highway system, which led to Hu to be regarded as one of the most popular directly elected mayors in Xiaodong. She subsequently did not pursue a second term as Mayoress of Baiqiao instead running for the seat of Rongzhuo West in the State Presidium of Xiaodong in the 2011 elections which she won with 72.3% of the vote. In 2014 she became People's Party president and led the opposition United Democratic Appeal to Xiaodong to gain a plurality of votes in the 2016 elections. The inconclusive results of the election led to a new one in 2017 which Hu alleged was rigged; in January she was subsequently arrested and imprisoned.

Since becoming People's Party leader Hu has emphasised the social democratic and social liberal character of the party calling for it to serve as a "modern party of the third way". Hu has also focussed the People's Party message to be on tackling the dang wangluo system of corruption and lessen wealth inequality. Her foreign policy has been said to be dovish by pro-government figures in regard to Senria but this has been disputed by Hu, who called Senria a "serious concern" and that the Treaty of Keishi "asks to much of Xiaodong".
