Wulfrun One-Eye, also known as Old Man Winter, is a Brytisc Gothi and politician. He is Eorl of Anglaland and a prominent member of the Socialist-National party. He has served as Eorl since the 2nd of January, 2015, following the assassination of his predecessor by members of Al-Qaria terrorist organisation.
Early life
One-Eye was born to Canute and Frea Hlafordsen on Yule 1961. The Hlafordsens were highland shepherds who lived in the hilly ranges north of Eorlingas Holdfast, and as a young child he worked as a shepherd and hunter, ranging across the highlands. He did not receive a conventional education, instead being taken in by a local Gothi, Ancalagon of the Bitter Pass.
Religious figure
Under the tutelage of Ancalagon, Wulfrun learned the secret mysteries of Adfyr and of the wilds of Brytene. By the age of 20, he already had his own ranges, and was visiting local hamlets and mountain settlements to administer blessings, rites, and offer guidance.
In 1986, he saved a hiking party including Brynja Rohan from a bear attack, facing down a Highland Grizzly Bear which had ambushed the group. He escorted them to safety, and in the days that followed House Rohan offered him a no-strings-attached stipend in order to continue his work. He was able to use this money to provide much-needed supplies to the isolated rural locations he minded.
Political figure
The highland districts were not particularly well-represented at the time, and the Riding was typically run by whoever was in favour in the village of Hemmel, the only 'town' in the region. House Rohan dedicated their resources to spreading understanding throughout the area, whilst convincing Wulfrun to run for the office of Thegn. Their campaign was successful, with a record 54% turnout in the isolated and far-flung Riding, and in 1987 Wulfrun was elected as Thegn on an independent ticket.
Under his tenure, funding to the area was improved, with a reliable radio network established so that emergencies could be better reported, and the expansion of the Mountain Search And Rescue force in order to provide a dependable emergency response network to cover the region.
In 1992 he joined the Socialist-National party, and is cited as a major influencer for the party's religious character. He currently holds the record for the longest consecutive tenure as Thegn, having been elected as Thegn for the Anglaland Highlands Riding every year from 1987-2016.
In 2016, following the assassination of Sofia Mercada by Islamist terrorists, he was elected as Eorl of Anglaland on the 3rd of January, 2016.
