The Socialist National party, often referred to as the SocNat party, is a moderate-left socialist party in Brytene. It currently holds 288 seats in the Thegn Rede, with its leader being Eorl Wulfrun One-Eye. Both Aoife Brighteye and Isolde el-Hashem of the Witenagmot are also members.

History

The SocNat party received a huge points boost in late 2015, following the murder of its most prominent member, Uhtred of Deepdale, by foreign assassins, along with the global offensive by al-Qaria. The party's tough stance and aggressive foreign policy is believed to have been a major contributor to its success in the 2015 Thegn Rede election. The economic success and relative peace of 2016 led to a slight improvement in the party's performance in the elections of that year, increasing their overall majority as well as their strength in the Witenagmot.

Platform

The Socialist National party advocates a strong state with some elements of free market capitalism, and is socially left-wing. It supports all forms of equality, but believes that current criminal codes are too lenient and that Brytisc immigration policy needs to switch from multiculturalism to one of assimilation.

Manifesto

THE MANIFESTO OF THE SOCIALIST NATIONAL PARTY OF BRYTENE

This document lays out the fundamental tenets of the Socialist National party and its platform for the governance of the Confederacy

The Socialist National party is dedicated to preserving and strengthening Brytisc values. It is necessary for every Bryton to take their place as a loyal and honest citizen, in order to achieve safety and contentment for all.

In the face of increasing extremism from the cultural ultraliberals and ultraconversatives, which are to be considered as two sides of the same coin, it is necessary for strong leadership to cast aside the dross and promote true Brytisc values. In the face of increasing predation from hostile regimes and corporate machines, it is necessary for Brytons to safeguard their country. A strong state and a powerful military, working together with a fair society and an economy driven by humble, hard-working citizens, is to be the cornerstone of Brytene.
