The Federal President of the Federal Republic of Fyngaria (Fyngarian: Նւրլակար Ֆեդերալիգ Ֆյոնգարիգ, romantisation: Nurlakar Federalig Fyongarig) is the elected formal head of state of Fyngaria and the commander-in-chief of the Federal Defense Forces. According to the Constitution of Fyngaria, the Federal President holds a set of duties and responsibilities in daily politics of Fyngaria.

Duties and responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities described in the 1982 Constitution:

• Represents the Fyngarian people and state abroad, in international meetings and in front of the international courts
• Represents the unity of Fyngaria
• Serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Fyngarian Defense Forces
• Declares elections for Federal Parliament and Council
• Appoints the Federal Chancellor, Federal Parliament and Council, according to the election results.
• Gives assents to and vetoes federal laws
• Declares state of emergency, state of war and peace
• Recieves foreign dignitaries and ambassadors
• Gives pardons, national awards and military promotions
• Serves as a liaison between the Fyngarian people and the Federal Government
