The Battle of Keren was a 2-month battle between The Commonwealth and Bethausian forces were lead by Major General Archibald Sugiyama against the opposing force of Archadian troops and colonials led by General of the Army Hugo Cavallero. The battle was caused after Cavallero decided to place defensive lines in Keren, which was a strategic road between El Lupo and Massawa. Cavallero had placed his efforts on strengthening defenses that he could not push the Allied forces away from Keren and was soon forced to fall back.
