The Lecian Autonomous Prefecture (Namorese: Лекезу Чиджисен tr. Lekezu Chijisen; Lec: Kréz Aùtonomiczna Lekkëbi) is an autonomous prefecture in the Namorese district of Xhipei. The LAP borders Lecia on the north, Jathana on the east, Fuhong Prefecture on the northwest and Rugang Prefecture on the southwest. It has a population of nearly 1.5 million people, over 40% of whom are ethnic Lecs.
The LAP was established in 1925 shortly after the establishment of the People's Republic of Namor. Prior to 1925, Liberationist Party of Namor, which recruited ethnic Lecs into its ranks, had established the Lecian Autonomous Republic (LAR) within the territories under its control. Most of the LAR's leadership went on to lead the LAP after the Namorese Civil War. From the 1920s to the 1950s, the LAP was home to Lecian opponents to the Kingdom of Lecia, some of whom would play a significant role in the Second Lecian Revolution.
Starting in the 1950s, many Kannei Namorese migrated to the LAP in search of jobs and opportunities as a part of the Northern Development program. The migration has led to calls for the Namorese government to "reform" the LAP by shrinking it to counties where Lecs actually constitute a majority or abolishing it altogether.
