Ascalia (Ghaillish: Ascaill), officially the Asterian Republic of Ascalia (Ghaillish: Poblacht Aistearach na hAscaille), is a unitary parliamentary republic located in southwestern Asteria Inferior. Ascalia borders Adamantina to the north, the Azure Coast to the west, and Satucin to the northwest.

Timeline

  • Early 17th century: Caldish settlement, colony development
  • 1708-1710: Captured by Gaullica following Caldish loss of colonies
  • 1712: !Quebec Act-ish treaty providing for maintenance of Ghaillish language/customs in exchange for loyalty and Catholicism
  • 17xx: Arrival of remaining Caldish Catholics exiled from Caldia
  • Late 18th century: Revolts, uprisings, fun times as such etc. etc.
  • Early 19th century: Independence declared, supported by Asterian revolutionary neighbours (?)
