Ascalia (Ghaillish: An Ascaill), officially the Asterian Republic of Ascalia (Ghaillish: Poblacht Aistearach na hAscaille), is a unitary parliamentary republic located in southwestern Asteria Inferior. Ascalia borders Adamantina to the north, the Azure Coast to the west, and Satucin to the northwest.
Timeline
- Early 17th century: Caldish settlement, colony development
- 1708-1710: Captured by Gaullica following Caldish loss of colonies
- 1712: !Quebec Act-ish treaty providing for maintenance of Ghaillish language/customs in exchange for loyalty and Catholicism
- 17xx: Arrival of remaining Caldish Catholics exiled from Caldia
- Late 18th century: Revolts, uprisings, fun times as such etc. etc.
- Early 19th century: Independence declared, supported by Asterian revolutionary neighbours (?)
