Logan William Odom Jr. (born October 7, 1962) is a Zamastanian businessman and politician who has served as the senator for Pahl's 1st senatorial district since 2014. Prior to this, he served as the Secretary of Commerce under President Cassious Castovia from 2008-2013. Odom was executive chairman of the company founded by his father, and Zamastan's largest human resources firm, Odom LifeWorks. He was also the chair of the board at Emerald Children's Hospital. Odom Jr. holds a bachelor of arts (BA) degree from the University of Emerald, a master of business administration degree (MBA) from the University of Tofino, and a master's degree in economics from the University of Alanis.
Odom was appointed Secretary of Commerce by President Castovia in 2008. As commerce secretary, Odom Jr. cut the goods and services tax from 7 percent to 5 percent, introduced the tax-free savings account, and combatted the 2011 financial crisis. Odom Jr. has since cited disagreements with Castovia as the reason for his resignation as Secretary. Odom Jr. was elected to Congressional Hall as a senator in the 2014 election, defeating incumbant GLP senator Eleanore McLaine. A member of the Blue Conservative Party, Odom Jr. is one of the most influential senators in the bloc.
