The Green Liberal Party, or the GLP is a federal political party in Zamastan, with its main rival historically being the Blue Conservative Party (Zamastan). The party was founded in 1823 to counter the rising political prominence of their rival. The ideology of the GLP caucus is composed mostly of centrists and progressives, with a small minority of conservative GLP members. The party's philosophy of modern liberalism advocates social and economic equality, along with the welfare state. It seeks to provide government intervention and regulation in the economy. These interventions, such as the introduction of social programs, support for labor unions, affordable college tuitions, moves toward universal health care and equal opportunity, consumer protection and environmental protection form the core of the party's economic policy.

Stuck in many considered a 'political stalemate' from 2004 until 2020, the GLP was led by former-Speaker Cain Blackwater. The 2020 election, Blackwater's failed presidential campaign, but a recapture of the majority in the 109th Congress led to a restructuring in the party, with Alian Matten becoming party leader.
