Bocuse Naval Base is the principle base and headquarters for the Jyau Navy, located in Gutaai, Jyau. Bocuse is a geostrategically important military facility for its proximety to the Strait of Grelend, and ensures Jyaueze sovereigty over its maritime territory. It is the largest of four naval facilities along Jyau's small coastline. Built by occupying Vitosium forces in 1810, the base ceded to the new government of Jyau following independence in 1919, with Prime Minister Rudolph Raymond and Chancellor Winston Brisley commissioning the base in 1920. The southern portion of the base has been leased to the Zamastanian Naval Forces since 1957, and since 2019 three dock spaces have been granted to the Drambenburgian Kreigsmarine. As of 2018, 4,411 military personnel and 2,762 civilians work at Bocuse. The base is named after Paulman Bocuse, a Jyaueze general who fought against the forces of King Alexander of Vitaso in 1798.
