"The Northern Kin Forever" is an Erebonian and Rubrumian patriotic song written by Lambert Andrews during the First Europan War, when Erebonian troops in Western Erebonia amalgamated with Rubrumian troops to form the Erebonian and Rubrumian Army Corps. The hymn and tune were taken directly from the Rubrumian patriotic song The Maple Leaf Forever.
History
Lyrics
Lyrics
In days of yore, from Rubrum's shore,
Rourke, the dauntless hero, came
And planted firm Rubrumia's flag
On Erebonia's fair domain.
Here may it wave, our boast, our pride
And, joined in love together,
The maple leaf and stallion weaved
The Northern Kin forever!
Chorus
The Northern Kin, our brother dear,
The Northern Kin forever!
God save our kin and heaven bless
The Northern Kin forever!
At Kreuzen Heights and Egret's Bridge,
Our brave fathers, side by side,
For freedom, homes and loved ones dear,
Firmly stood and nobly died;
And those dear rights which they maintained,
We swear to yield them never!
Our watchword evermore shall be
"The Northern Kin forever!"
Chorus
Our bonds of love now extends
From St. John's to Caernarfon;
May peace forever be our lot,
And plenteous store abound:
And may those ties of love be ours
Which discord cannot sever,
And flourish green o'er freedom's home
The Northern Kin forever!
Chorus
On merry Lucis's far famed land
May kind heaven sweetly smile,
God bless old Accordo evermore
and Niflheim's Em'rald Isle!
And swell the song both loud and long
Till rocks and forest quiver!
God save our Kin and Heaven bless
The Northern Kin forever!
Chorus
When God sent us our dearest king,
He stood up with great fervour,
And there was she, the one betrothed
And the heavens chimed with joy
Our voices chant in unison
Our blood now joined forever
God save our Kin and Heaven bless
The Northern Kin forever!
Chorus
