Ori B-06
Ori B-06 is a production audio enhancement technology developed by Solus Entertainment Corporation. The technology launched alongside the Ori Original, a movie playback audio post-production improvement technology, on June 11th, 2023. The Ori B-06 covers any audible work that doesn't contain visuals with it, per its specification. Unlike the Ori Original, the Ori B-06 handles audio during the production and live recording of said audio, meanwhile the Ori Original handles conversion of non-Ori audio in movies to Ori-enhanced audio, as if the Ori B-06 had recorded it.
Specifications
The Ori B-06 uses unique codecs and proprietary hardware to handle everything in audio production from recording to editing to mixing to mastering and post-production. The Ori B-06 uses unique technology to produce the audio waves for enhancement, and can't therefore work for audio production on movies. The technology adapts to the acoustic environment, optimizing sound quality and minimizing background noise. It also uses machine learning algorithms to adjust to individual voices, ensuring a personalized and immersive audio experience for the listener.
The Ori B-06 supports high-resolution audio formats up to 192kHz/24bit and can be integrated with various audio interfaces. Its intuitive user interface is designed to enhance workflow efficiency, making it an ideal tool for audio professionals. The Ori B-06 also has the capability to adjust for different playback systems, ensuring optimal sound quality across various devices and environments. While it doesn't support movie production, it does have the capability of recording studio-quality audio for video games, however, the audio produced may not suit that type of environment.
Unlike Ori Original technology, the Ori B-06 has the capability to be modified and reconfigured to meet specific production needs. By default, audio recorded and mastered using Ori B-06 technology has a higher fidelity than most other workstations, but has a trade back of more compression. One other configuration than the default one could be the one that Ori Original uses to decompress movie audio.
Licensing
The Ori B-06 is proprietary technology of Solus Entertainment Corporation and requires licensing fees to be paid before one can make use of it. The fees to be paid are approximately $2,300/year, with potential discounts for volume and number of listeners. No royalties are required from works produced using Ori B-06 technology.
