The Secretariat Of State Religion Control, also referred to as the SSRC, is the government religious enforcement and protection agency in the Empire Of Makko Oko under the directive and control of the Ministry Of Internal Security. Its mission is to ensure the safety and security of the nation's state religion of Satanism, including by protecting important religious members, investigating cases of anti-religious sentiment and speech, etc.

The SSRC within its history has kidnapped openly anti-religious or anti-Satanism people, arrested dissenters and has been accused of several high-profile assassinations domestically.

Duties & Functions

Like most departments and agencies within the government, no law or order formally established the SSRC, and instead, all duties and functions are granted unilaterally after the formation of the agency in question, mostly by the Emperor themselves, but in some cases, the heads of the cabinet-level ministries give the orders.

The SSRC is the dedicated law enforcement agency that protects the state's integrity on religion, and is one of the only dedicated enforcers of Section 10 of the Basic Rights. In addition to protection of the religion, they're also one of the sole prosecutors on religious-based or related crimes, sending all indicted citizens to the religious courts. The SSRC advances the religion internationally with government-sanctioned operations, including manipulation campaigns and assassinations.

Crime Statistics

The NSS is the leader of statistics when it comes down to crime. Named the Annual Crime Survey (ACR), the NSS reports on what areas have the highest level of crime, and in addition, what crimes are the highest in each area. The ACR is used by other national law enforcement agencies in the nation, in addition to other non-law enforcement government agencies and officials. The ACR has seen varied press publicity whenever major changes are spotted, and in general, the ACR is not viewed or cared for much by the populace, even though it is publicly available.
