Dinmir, officially the Dinmir Free State, is a nation in northern Asia. It is bordered by Gola to the west, Shinon to the south, Hanga to the southeast, Wody to the northeast, and Tempor to the north.

Dinmir is the youngest country in the world, having existed for only one year as a separatist region of Tempor. After Jejak Warisan was removed from power in Tempor and contracted amnesia, he travelled, while being pursued by Burhanudin Peramal’s and Izz Murali’s forces, first to the Lionoll border, then to his hometown of Dinmir, along with a group of advisors. He proceeded to declare himself the Grand Priest of Dinmir and took full control of the area with the assistance of the Dinmir militia. After securing Dinmir’s de facto independence and making his existence known throughout southern Tempor, he expanded Dinmir’s borders to include all of the southern regions. Dinmir and Tempor have been in constant minor conflict since Dinmir’s independence.

Dinmir does not have official ratings of civil liberties, political freedom, or HRC-FS human rights since much of the country is still in a state of anarchy, mostly controlled by local militias. Unofficial ratings for the Capital Region give low ratings for civil liberties and no political freedom. Martial law has been in effect since Warison arrived and many basic civil liberties are restricted, including free speech and public gathering. Criticism of the government is restricted, but not fully illegal, and democratic processes are limited.

The Dinmir economy is barely in existence, which ranks it as the weakest in the world. However, Dinmir has many aspects of the Tempor economy, including Temporan technological advances and factories producing robotic anti-gravity controllers. Dinmir still primarily uses the Temporan currency produced by the Dinmir mint and is completely isolated in the global market.

Etymology

The origin of Dinmir, along with Tempor and Lionoll, is completely unknown. The earliest recorded use of the term Dinmir was on the founding registration records of Dinmir City. There is no mention of the name before then, nor is there a clear relation to any word or phrase in the Temporan language.
