Gola, officially the United Communes of the Kingdom of Gola, is a nation in northern Asia. It is bordered by Tylan to the southwest, Shwon to the south, Shinon to the southeast, Dinmir to the east, Tempor to the northeast, and Lionoll to the north. It has a coast with the Yensy Sea to the west, the Pasina Sea to the northwest, and the Taymir Channel to the north.

Gola has a unique governmental system consisting of a monarchy with almost absolute power and an elected government that can be overruled by the monarch. This would automatically leave Gola with a low political freedom score, however elections are mostly free with the requirement that all candidates must align with a socialist or communist ideology. Political freedom through non-violent protests, multi-candidate elections, and political gatherings is protected. Civil liberties are respected and most HRC-FS human rights are protected.

Golan’s economy is one of the strongest in the world specializing in manufacturing and technology. Gola is a pioneer in marine technology, especially marine transportation and infrastructure. Golan companies are the most popular for contracting the construction of submarine cities and transportation networks. Golan companies are also the most popular for marine vehicles. Gola moved the capital to a newly built submarine city in 2491 to celebrate and display Golan’s technological accomplishments.

Etymology

Gola descends from Mongolia or the Mongol Empire. There is no documentation of the origin of these names and there are many unverified stories passed down through families.
