Tempor, officially the Tempor Empire, is a nation in northern Asia. It is bordered by Lionoll to the northwest, Gola to the southwest, Dinmir to the southeast, and Wody to the east. It has a coast with the Taymir Channel to the north.
Tempor rates very low in civil liberties, has no political freedom, and HRC-FS human rights are not respected. In recent years, Tempor has rapidly evolved into an authoritarian dictatorship under Jejak Warisan and Burhanudin Peramal, vastly reducing the monarch’s power and inciting fear in the population. Any criticism of the government is strictly banned and can result in death. The previous Grand Priest had a paranoid nature, which resulted in thousands of spontaneous arrests and killings. These have continued, but at a much lower rate. Additionally, Tempor has violated Lionoll’s border multiple times, and increasing tensions between Lionoll and Tempor lead many to believe war is inevitable.
The Temporan economy is a powerhouse of manufacturing, especially in military equipment and scientific research used for construction, manufacturing, and warfare. From 2394 to 2399 between the Warisan Coup and the Warisan Defection, Tempor became increasingly isolated, participating less in international trade. Tempor’s intense scientific research has propelled it forward to be one of the most technologically advanced nations in the world, mostly resulting from the Temporan invention of robotic anti-gravity controllers. These give Tempor an unnatural militant advantage in the technology sector.
Etymology
The origin of Tempor, along with Lionoll and Dinmir, is completely unknown. It may be related to the religion of Telar, however this is only speculation. The name is not related to any word or phrase in the Temporan language.
