The Union Defense Forces are the military forces of the Galactic Union, consisting of the Union Defense Navy and Union Defense Army. The Premier of the Galactic Union is the commander-in-chief of the Defense Forces. Union Intelligence served as the Defense Forces' intelligence-gathering and covert operations branch.
