The flag adopted in 1979 after the independence of [[Lemovicia]] from [[Narozalica]] was based off the design of the {{wp|escutcheon}} of the [[Coat of arms of Lemovicia|Lemovician coat of arms]]. Thus, it depicted a field of thirty-two fretted diamonds, with each {{wp|argent (heraldry)|argent}} {{wp|lozenge (heraldry)|lozenge}} bordered with a {{wp|vert (heraldry)|dark vert}} stripe descending sinister, and a {{wp|sable (heraldry)|sable}} stripe descending dexter in a {{wp|Variation of the field#Lozengy, fusilly, masculy and rustré|fretted}} pattern.

Thus, as part of the [[Constitution of Lemovicia, 1992|new constitution]], a new flag was designed so to "unify [[Lemovicia]]" ion the aftermath of the civil war.

The flag of Lemovicia (Lemovician: Mendiluŕako prapora) is the national flag of the self-proclaimed state of Lemovicia.

Design

Per the Constitution of Lemovicia, the flag of Lemovicia "shall comprise of two green diagonal stripes, two white stripes, and two red diagonal stripes, each alternating and going from the upper dexter to the lower sinister," with red representing the progression of Lemovicia to a socialist society, white for peace among the fraternity of peoples, and green for the Lemovician nation.
