The L85 Enfield is a Lucian family of 5.56×45mm RG small arms. The rifle has been the standard issue of the Lucis Armed Forces since 1985, replacing the E1A1 SLR variant of the RG LAG. During its early years, the weapon showed signs of design flaws, prompting the Lucis Army to temporary replace it with the Steyrheim UAG until it could be improved. The L85A2 came in as a result of intervention by the Rainford Group, who also developed the UAG rifle and a leading in Bullpup Assault Rifle development. Since 2000, the L85A2 replaced the UAG as the standard issue of the Lucis Army until in 2015, when the UAG was returned as standard issue.
The rifle was also used by several Commonwealth countries such as Basel-Ebel, Lestallum, Rubrum and Nihhon-koku.
