Claudius was born on 18 October 1959 at Palatium Supranio, in Adrianople, as the second child of Isidorus Claudius and Campana Vitruvia. He was baptized at the private chapel in Palatium Supranio. His godparents are Jason Claudius, Duke of Adrianople (his paternal grandfather) and Zoe Pompeia (his paternal grandmother). He attended Pescia Academy in Adrianople. He later enrolled at Vigueria College, Haenna, where he earned a degree in Philosophy and Theology.

He served as an usher to his cousin Jason, Prince of Youth during the Jason's wedding to Stephania Pinaria, and again when Jason married Zoe Verruscosi. Aarhusium and Jason were close friends during their childhood and Pescia Academy in Adrianople together.

Claudius has served in numerous court and governmental roles. From 1979 until 1983, he served as the aide-de-camp to Jason, Prince of Youth.
