The 1982 Yindao War, also known as the 1982 Unseom War after the island's Imperial Daekanese and Republic of Daekan-era name, was an armed conflict on the island of Yindao between the People's Socialist Republic of Daekan and the exiled Republic of Daekan government that started on 5 August 1981 and conclued on 17 January 1982. The war entailed combat on the island itself as well as the south and east Immanic between PSRD and JSEC air and naval forces. The conflict lasted six months with PSRD forces and allied local guerrillas capturing 92% of the island. The RoD remnants, which still survived in the besieged capital of Jenan were amalgamated into the temporary UN-controlled Free Territory of Jenan under the Treaty of TBD. Jenan remained under UN mandate until 2 July 1984, when it was reformed into the Republic of Jenan with political power being transferred to local authorities.
