The Akanovan Interest Committee in Calagains was an organization within the Calagains Colonial Council, specifically within the Calagains Colonial Council. The Committee consisted of both K'vari Severibi and Akanovan Federal Territories politicans that were sent to the planet of Calagains before the Colonial Vote of Calagains. The Akanovan Interest Committee was handled by Azriani Sidamon and his Pormireba on orders of Levan Meshki and was headquartered temporarily in the city of Ozuriani. Established for a year, the Committee dedicated its efforts to metropolitan areas that had been constructed and profited, including Arshusha and North Sukhami.
During the leadup to the Colonial Vote, the Akanovan Federal Government decided to set up a temporary political party to speak about their interests within the Colonial Council. During the pre-vote process, the Akanovans saw a major loss in their results, having lost significant resource-rich territory to both the Akaniti Vardoni Society and the Akanuul P'olit'niri. Despite this, the Interest Committee had controlled all major exporting areas and had essentially locked down the issues of Free Trading on Calagains, therey affecting businesses that relied on Interplanetary Trade. At the onset of 2310, the Committee's crew was entirely replaced by Akanovan politicans, including the incumbent Akanovan Delegate of Calagains, Tarichan Sosona, in preparation for the Colonial Vote and the institution of an Akanovan Federal Commission.
The Akanovan Interest Committee was considered to be urbanist and conservative in the same terms of K'vari Orthodoxy. Despite before their formation the Akanovan Federal Government had taken a liberal stance, they had reversed certain policies under Levan Meshki, the K'vari Sabaphos Mepe who took power during this time. Restrictions on trade which impacted the debate on Free Trading on Calagains and to a certain extent, Free Mining and Free Farming, were highly favored by the Committee. Increase on spending in urban development and regulations on trading were highly favored in Ozuriani and Arshusha, and were considered the core ideals of the Committee. Ozuriani, Arshusha, and North Sukhami later voted in favor of Akanovan administration, leading to the creation of the Akanovan Commission of Calagains and the disbandment of the Committee.
The Akanovan Interest Committee on Calagains was notable for being the only Interest Committee that was entirely led by the Second Order of K'vari, leading to speculation about the Division of Power in the Akanovan Federal Government. Onkelos Mithridates is currently the only member from the committee to have transferred to the Akanovan Commission on Calagains as the Delegate of the Sabaphos.
History
Pre-Formation
The Akanovan Interest Committee in Calagains was the last Akannite organization formed within the Calagains Colonial Council on orders of the Akanovan Federal Government. Before its formation, the Akanovan Federal Government and the Second Order of K'vari had been present within the workings of Calagains, especially during the Calagainian Refugee Crisis. During this time, the Second Order of K'vari was under Adarnase the Devoted and the Adarnasian Sabaphos, which took a very liberal stance on the refugee crisis. The Akanovan Federal Government political stance open and welcomed the refugees, especially within what is now Ozuriani.
After the end of the Calagainian Refugee Crisis and the construction of Ozuriani and Arshusha City as urban areas, the population of Calagains found themselves at odds since many could not afford to do interplanetary trade. This led to a partial split since the Akanovan Federal Government had been endlessly pouring money into the development of Ozuriani and Arshusha, while both the Akaniti and Akanuul had been investing in Calagainian businesses, including those in Free Mining and Free Farming.
