Alexandra Tanaka (26 June 1962) is a Zanarkian businesswoman and retired Zanarkian officer who currently runs a teashop in Melbourne, Zanarkand.
Alexandra is known for her wits and beauty, something which attracted men to her upon joining Task Force 131. She became a communications officer for most of her assignment. She also assisted in various intelligence gathering during the Sanguinoso Colpo, which TF 131 had played a large role in. Although she sometimes possesses a stoic face, Alexandra is known to turn into a different person whenever she is around insects, which she is afraid of. Her closest friends, Mona Becker and Aya Erland tease her as a result.
Alexandra caught the attention of Colonel John Arnold Todd, whom she started a relationship with in 1983. She retired from the army following TF 131's disbandment while her husband continued service. She opened a teashop in 2003 following her husband's retirement. She currently lives in Melbourne still running her teashop and being helped by her 4 grandchildren.

Alexandra has been described as having brains and beauty. She is often serious with her job and does not take lightly to anyone who attempts to negotiate with her for something low. Although stoic, Alexandra is often prone to nervousness and panics whenever insects such as spiders or beetles are crawling around her. This became the centre of her being teased by her closest friends.
Alexandra was only 21 when she met Colonel John Arnold Todd, who was 33 at the time of their meeting. Alexandra found John to be the man of her dreams. John, who was dedicated to his duties and often showed little weakness, is found to be soft and comforting to Alexandra's eyes, especially in times when she panics or gets uneasy. Alexandra conceived her first child with John in 1986 but the child died in infancy. Thinking it to be a bad luck, John proposed to Alexandra, which she accepted. They were married in 1987 and had 1 child whom they named Richard Philip Todd. Richard would grow up to be the only son as a result. Not wanting to lose him, she kept her eyes on the young Richard as he grew up. As a result, the boy possessed her mother's traits, including her fear of spiders.
