Schvart mossa, or black moss is a predatory moss that one can find in bogs in northern and western Eteisrannikko, but also in Karmanjaka and south-western northern ice plains. It is known as one of the more dangerous of the Scanderan predatory plants and it is also known for it's massive size. While it does not grow to very tall heights on it's own does the plant have an almost perverse and abnormal ability to cover massive amounts of lands. Normally can one see whole fields covered in this black plants where it simply strangle most of the plants caught under it.
It is also known for it's way to hunt when they are disturbed so do the plant extrude large amounts of black spores that causes animals as large as mammoths to get knocked out. When a animal is knocked out do the black moss quickly grow to cover it in a cocoon where the moss extrude an acid that break down the prey.
Historically however so have this plant been used for a lot of things and the spores have been used in medicine during surgery for instance or during amputations. But the regular plant itself have always been seen as a delicacy when boiled. To harvest black moss though is a dangerous job and the primitive moss harvesters were only protected by leather masks filled with wet linnen. Modern workers are however protected by modern breathers to help them in gathering the plants.
