Chitpa is a city in Haduastan located on the island of Chitpa, which sits in the Brau Sea about 200 miles northwest of the mainland. Chitpa is the 10th-largest city in Haduastan with a population of 3.8 million people, though its metropolitan area takes up the rest of Chitpa Island and accounts for nearly 8.3 million people. Chitpa was founded in the early 500s by spice traders from Haduastan as a refuge and trading post from mainland Ausianan kingdoms. In the 1600s, it was occupied by Drambenburg and became a major stop-over for many ships transiting between the Cantalle Ocean and the Samson Ocean via the Vulkarian Pass. The city is a popular international tourist destination and a unique cultural standout for Haduastan, as its geographic isolation from the mainland has allowed it to develop its own unique dialects and culture. In 2023, a mass evacuation of the island occured after Yuaneze warships created a partial blockade and shot down numerous Haduastani military aircraft, prompting concerns of a strike on the island. Yuan subsequently invaded at the height of the Brau Sea crisis, and has occupied the island ever since.
