Galania is a geographic and administrative region of Syara. Occopying roughly the "center" of Syrara, Galania is most known as the proverbial breadbasket of Syara due to it's extensive agricultural sector, which has often been the defining trait of Galania throughout history. Galania is the only Realm to border all three other realms of Scitaria, Makedon, and Hayreniky.

Fed by several major rivers including the Thanor, Vitmira, and Amant, Galania was the origin of Syara's Neolithic revolution and birthplace of it's first major farming communities. Assited by regular flooding, ancient Galania was dominated by small kingdoms and city-states that thrived on the abundance of easy-to-grow grain and cereals. Galania's large quantities of food made it a frequent target for Bastarnae incursions, as did it's incorporation into the Makedonian Empire. Galania served as a major source of grain for the Empire and Syara, a facet which continued even after the Fall of the Makedonian Empire. Following the conquest and subsequent collapse of the Arkoennite Empire the independent Kingdom of Galania was formed in 1719. Although it lagged behind neighboring Makedon and Scitaria, Galania's large population rendered it the major counter-balance to the Ruvelkan Imperium. Following it's defeat in the Galanian-Ruvelkan War Galania was largely surpassed by the Kingom of Makedon as the premier Syaran power, examplified by the Ruvelkan-Makedonian War. In the ensuing unification, Galania became part of the Republic of Syara, though retained it's own Royal Family. Galania continued it's role as major agricultural producer during the years of the Republic and played a major role within Syaran politics and foreign relations. Bordering the disputed region of Zemplen, Galania was on the front lines of the Syaran-Ruvelkan War. It was spared the destruction of the Divide War, and was the stepping stone to Syaran intervention in the Ruvelkan Civil War. Following Syara's loss in the Siduri War Galania faced economic uncertainty during the Broken Years, and reamined a bastion of conservatism and Royalist support during the lead up the Refusal War. Invaded by the Wardens during the war, Galania was officially reconstituted as one of Syara's four Realms during the establishment of the Commonality.

Despite the changes over the course of multiple centuries, Galania has retained it's status as a major food producer. In 2019 Galania alone produced 96 million tonnes of grains of all types, and remains one of the single largest food producers in all of Tyran. Although dominated by the farming industry, mining and manufacturing are also major components of the Galanian economy. With nearly 46 million inhabitants Galania is the second most populated Realm after Makedon, and the third wealthiest after Makedon and Scitaria. Galania's capital is Myzova, while it's largest city is Cuprasi.
