Gale Point Naval Base, also known as ZNB White Rock and officially known as Gale Point Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (GPNS & IMF), is a major naval base of the Zamastanian Naval Forces located in White Rock, Jade. It is the Tarin Peninsula's largest naval shore facility, the second-largest military facility in the province after Cunningham Naval Base in Jade Harbor, and one of the province's largest industrial installations. GPNS & IMF provides the Navy with maintenance, modernization, and technical and logistics support, and employs 14,000 people. The base also serves to recycle nuclear-powered ships, and approximately 25% of the shipyard's workload involves inactivation, reactor compartment disposal, and recycling of ships. It has pioneered an environmentally safe method of deactivating and recycling nuclear-powered ships. GPNS is the only Zamastanian facility certified to recycle nuclear ships. Since the end of the World War, Gale Point Naval Shipyard has scrapped more than 125 submarines and some cruisers.
