Shwon, officially the Republic of Shwon, is a nation in northern Asia. It is bordered by Tylan to the west, Tojik to the southwest, the Goby Nomadic Region (GNR) to the southeast, Shinon to the east, and Gola to the north, along with an exclave of Gola in the northern region of the country.

Shwon has moderately low ratings of civil liberties and very low ratings in HRC-FS human rights with restricted political freedoms and gender inequality. Despite these violations, the Shwonese society and culture approves them and does not particularly suffer under national laws. Crime is low mostly from extreme criminal penalties deemed as torturous. Criticism of the government is outlawed, however this is considered a lower crime.

The Shwonese economy is poor due to low natural resources and low industrial capability. To make up for this, Shwon frequently penetrates the GNR to construct mines for gold and tin. To help prevent the overrun of Shwonese mines by Goby nomads, the Shwonese military is one of the best trained in guerilla warfare in the world. Despite mostly removing the threat of Goby nomads, Shwon still is unable to maintain permanent settlements at mines or extend territory into the GNR due to the extreme conditions and low technological capabilities.

Etymology

Shwon has two potential sources for its name. Both are from the old Chinese province of Sichuan. According to the nation itself, it means "four rivers," which referred to the four main rivers in the old province of Sichuan. According to records from the Federation of Sol, Shwon is derived from either "four plain circuits" or "four circuits of Chuanxia."
